Hariss International Limited, the makers of Rock Boom energy drink, have entered into a three-year partnership with the governing body of rugby in Uganda, the Uganda Rugby Union (URU), injecting a substantial sponsorship for the same period.

Two people have been confirmed dead, and more than 11 others sustained injuries after a Pokopoko Company bus, registration number UBR 796N, veered off the road and overturned in Mubende Municipality. The accident occurred when the bus's tire burst after hitting a pothole, causing the driver to lose control.
