Kampala Queens women's football team midfielder Shamirah Nalugya and Martyrs’ coach Edward Kasozi have been named the best personalities for the month of March in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women's Super League.
The aforementioned duo was crowned on Tuesday in an event that took place at the Finance Trust Bank Headquarters in Kampala.
The event was presided over by FUFA 3rd Vice President Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi and Finance Trust Bank Chief of Business, Andrew Agaba.
Nalugya, who plies her trade at Kampala Queens FC, has been instrumental in helping the team, which is on course to winning its second League title.
The creative gem scored three goals and was named player of the match twice.
To win the accolade, Nalugya beat teammate Zaina Nandede and Uganda Martyrs’ captain Latifah Nakas, who also scored three goals last month.
Kasoz,i on the other hand, guided the Uganda Martyrs to three wins in as many games in the month of March.
It should be noted that Kasozi had also been nominated for February, but the award went to Kampala Queens’ gaffer Asefa Firew Hailegebreal.
However, this time Kasozi emerged the winner, beating Hailegebreal and Tooro Queens' Rogers Ayesiga to the coveted award.
Each accolade comes with a cash prize of UGX 500,000 from Finance Trust Bank.
