The Buddu County won the Buganda Masaza Cup after defeating Buweekula County with a score of 1-0 last year.
The winning goal was scored in the early stages of the game by Mike Walaga, and this marked Buddu's third time winning the coveted trophy.
The national women's basketball team, the Gazelles, have qualified for the Afro Basket women's championships in Africa after Uganda defeated Egypt in the final with a score of 74-63.
The Afro Basket championships will take place in July and August in the city of Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The Uganda team has also secured a significant victory today, and coach Nick Natuhereza and player Joan Asinde have already arrived at the venue for the upcoming matches.
The teams that have reached the semi-finals in the recent championships include Nigeria, Senegal, Rwanda, and Mali, while Ivory Coast has been preparing for a long time to participate in the Afro Basket.
More than 340 athletes competed in the National Cross Country race held in Tororo.
Sarah Chelengat from Uganda Wildlife Authority won the women's race, finishing in 33 minutes and 50 seconds, while Kenneth Kiprop from the Police team won the men's race, finishing in 29 minutes and 28 seconds.
Stephen Kiprotich, who won a gold medal for Uganda in the 2012 London Marathon, has shared a message with the athletes.
