The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, today conducted an inspection tour of the newly constructed Hoima City Stadium.
A new football league, known as the MIN FOOTBALL league, has been officially launched in Uganda. The league is set to kick off this Saturday, marking a new addition to the country's sporting landscape.
The concept is novel to Uganda, inspired by Ugandan children living abroad in countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and cities such as Dubai. After observing and participating in the sport there, they made the decision to introduce it back home in Uganda.

They are now 9 medals; after two runners, Samuel Simba Cherop and Abel Chebet finished among the top three in the men's 10,000m finals. Chebet is confirmed for bronze, whilst Cherop and Bahrain's Birhanu Balew are still contesting for the gold and silver in the boardroom.
The national U17 men’s football team, The Uganda Cubs, maintained their perfect start in the Total Energies AFCON men’s U17 CECAFA region qualifier title defence after an emphatic 9-0 drubbing of Sudan in the group B match played at Dire Dawa stadium on Tuesday.
