NIRA officials delivered a new National ID to Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo at Salt Media offices in Kampala.
Officials from the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) have personally delivered a new National ID to Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo of House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) at the Salt Media offices in Lungujja-Lubaga, Kampala.
Pastor Bujjingo expressed immense joy and gratitude towards NIRA for providing him with his new, clean ID. He used the opportunity to encourage all Ugandan citizens to go and acquire their National Identification cards. In a further announcement, Pastor Bujjingo revealed that Salt Media and NIRA will continue their collaboration to work together in serving the Ugandan people.

The Registration Officer General of NIRA, JohnMary Viane Bugembe, provided key statistics, stating that they have so far reached 13 million people for ID renewals and 5 million for new registrations. He explained the importance of updating one's National ID every ten years and warned that citizens without a valid ID will face significant difficulties in accessing government services.
In a related development, the NIRA official also announced that the authority has added new, advanced security features to the National ID to prevent forgery and has already begun the process of issuing these updated cards to registered Ugandans.
