Renowned Democratic Party (DP) activist Benedicto Kiwanuka Galiko has expressed frustration over the prolonged delays in court judgments regarding his legal challenges against DP President Norbert Mao’s leadership. Kiwanuka, a long-standing member of the party, has filed multiple cases questioning the legitimacy of Mao’s election and the processes that led to his leadership.

Hoima District Local Government has officially sworn in a new District Service Commission (DSC) to tackle critical staffing shortages that have hindered service delivery in the region.
