The Chairperson of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), Odrek Rwabwogo, has urged Ugandan leaders to prioritise peace and stability as the country heads toward the next general elections.

Rwabwogo made the call during a prayer meeting held at Colline Hotel in Mukono, organised by the Greater Mukono Interfaith Forum under the theme Praying for Peaceful Elections in Uganda. The gathering brought together religious, political, and security leaders to seek divine guidance and unity ahead of the campaign season.


UPDF claims control in Kasese after machete attacks killed over 40, injuring many.

KAMPALA – The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has declared it is in command of the security situation in Kasese district, following a wave of brutal machete attacks that have left over 40 people dead and numerous others wounded. The violence, which included an assault on a police post, prompted a significant military deployment, resulting in the arrest of approximately 100 suspects.
