Uganda’s security forces have successfully intercepted and neutralized Aisha Katushabe, a known operative linked to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), in a decisive counterterrorism operation. The operation comes after intelligence revealed her involvement in planned attacks, further exposing her deep ties to the rebel group.
Col. Chris Magezi, spokesperson for the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), confirmed the development, stating that Katushabe had long been on the security radar due to her active role in ADF activities. “This individual was a threat to national security. We had previously arrested her, but she continued to engage in terrorist plots,” Col. Magezi said.
