
Namisindwa, Uganda– A tragic road accident on the Mbale-Lwakhakha highway has left one person dead after a speeding motorcycle collided with a pedestrian on Saturday morning, May 3, 2025.

Government officials and Kampala's elite came together in grief at the home of Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, mourning the loss of his son, Rajiv Ruparelia, who died in a car crash on the Munyonyo-Busabala Flyover.
Among the mourners was a Members of Parliament. who praised Rajiv as a hardworking and dedicated person.
At around 1:54 AM, news of Rajiv Ruparelia’s death shocked the nation. Reports indicate that he was driving a Nissan GT-R (638L) when it crashed on the Munyonyo-Busabala Flyover, caught fire, and burned beyond recognition.

A speeding car crashed early this morning on the Munyonyo-Busabala-Entebbe Flyover, killing the son of wealthy businessman Dr .Sudhir Ruparelia identified as Rajiv RUPARERIA.
According to a police statement, the accident occurred when the vehicle, a Lamborghini, lost control, hit road barriers, and caught fire.
Pieces of the wrecked car and ash were found at the crash site on the Munyonyo-Entebbe Flyover.

Kasese District, Uganda – A joint security operation in Ibuga Village, Kitswamba Sub-county, resulted in the neutralisation of a suspected rebel following an attack on security personnel. The incident occurred yesterday evening between 7 and 8 pm when alert residents reported suspicious activity near Ibuga Prison.
