Brigadier General Christopher Damulira, the head of the Crime Intelligence Directorate, has urged young people to collaborate with the police to contribute to the development of the country. He made these remarks during a security meeting held at Gwanda Market in Kisenyi, which brought together various stakeholders, including market vendors, taxi operators, boda-boda riders, and ghetto youth from different areas.

Kamuli, Uganda – Police in Kamuli District have arrested a 21-year-old mother, Mulungi Zainabu, on suspicion of killing and burying her one-year-old daughter, Kabawo Hadija. The incident, which has shocked the local community, occurred in Nalinaibi village, Nawanyago sub-county.  

According to authorities, Mulungi allegedly buried her child on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Concerns were raised by neighbors and relatives after they noticed the child had been missing for two days. When questioned, Mulungi claimed she had taken the baby to the hospital and was planning to check on her.  

 

A chilling act of domestic violence has left the community of Bukitongo Village in Butemulani Parish, Bumwoni Subcounty, reeling in shock. In a horrifying incident that unfolded last night, Rogers Kuremu, a local resident, allegedly beheaded his wife, Nerima Sharon, following a heated domestic dispute. The gruesome act has once again highlighted the alarming prevalence of domestic violence in Namisindwa District.

In a significant crackdown on corruption and theft of public resources, Bududa District Police have arrested Anthony M. Koyola, a laboratory assistant attached to Bufuma Health Centre III, for allegedly stealing medicines and medical supplies worth 15 million Uganda shillings. The arrest was confirmed by Bududa District Police Commander, Hassan Musooba, on Wednesday.

The Kabaka of Buganda, His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has initiated legal proceedings against State Minister for Lands, Sam Mayanja, over allegations of defamation and interference in matters concerning Kaazi land in Wakiso District. Minister Mayanja has publicly claimed that the land does not belong to the Kabaka and has instructed the Buganda Land Board (BLB) to stay away, asserting that their involvement is illegal.
