

Justice Pursued for Murdered Wife as Suspect Faces Dual Murder Charges in Uganda and Kenya
Rogers Kurima, the 34-year-old man accued of brutally murdering his wife, Sharon Nelima, 32, in Bukitongo B village on March 12, 2025, has been arrested and remanded at Bubulo Government Prison. The arrest, made possible through a joint operation between Interpol and Kenyan authorities, has brought a sense of relief to the grieving community while exposing Kurima’s alleged violent history in both Uganda and Kenya.

Mukono Municipality – The brutal murder of Ivan Oloya, a History teacher at Seeta High School, Mbalala Campus, has left the community in mourning. Oloya, 30, was stabbed to death in his rented house in Bajjo Zone, Nyenje Ward, Goma Division, allegedly by his cohabiting partner, Mercy Aber, a teacher at Code High School.

Goma Division, Mukono Municipality – Residents and local leaders in Bajjo Cell, Nyenje Parish, are living in fear following a spike in violent crimes, including the recent gruesome murder of Seeta High School teacher Ivan Oloya. The area has recorded three murders in just three months, raising alarm over rising insecurity.

MBALE CITY Police in Mbale Northern Division have launched a massive manhunt for a male adult suspected of defiling and brutally murdering a 15-year-old student at Grace Guest House in Namakwekwe Ward. The victim, Sumaya Binti Edrisa a Senior Two student at Nakaloke Secondary School, was found dead in Room 11 of the lodge on March 23, 2025, with her hands and neck tied using her own veil and a towel from the guest house.
