The President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, will meet with traders whose merchandise was confiscated in city markets tomorrow to address their compensation. This has been confirmed by the Minister for Kampala, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda.


Minister Kabanda met with some of the affected traders in Kabuusu and requested that they formally inform her of all their challenges before meeting the President so that the government can find a lasting solution.

In Kampala, one of the densely populated districts within Buganda, local NRM supporters in Lubaga Division have gathered to strategise on how to mobilise and deliver overwhelming support for their beloved candidate.

Busia District – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party’s Treasurer, Ambassador Abbassadar Babura Nekese Oundo, has announced that the government is setting aside a special grant aimed at improving the livelihoods of fishermen across Uganda.

“For the last 40 years, M7 has been in power; there has been peace and stability and freedom of worship, which the previous governments did not give us,” stated a collective resolution read at the gathering.

BUSIA, UGANDA – In a significant display of political alignment, over 10,000 religious leaders from across Eastern Uganda convened at Busia Border Primary School this week, declaring their collective support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (often referred to as M7) in the upcoming elections. The annual gathering of pastors transformed into a potent political rally, with leaders crediting Museveni’s 38-year rule for providing the “peace, stability, and freedom of worship” they say was denied under previous regimes.

n a significant move to bolster their political influence, the Patriotic League of Uganda is actively campaigning and mobilising support as the country approaches the elections. The league is focused on gaining traction among the electorate, particularly in the Buganda region, where they aim to make substantial inroads.
