KAMPALA – In a sweeping review of electoral disputes, Uganda's presidential election tribunal has concluded hearings for 180 cases, delivering rulings that have reshaped the political landscape by unseating several ministers and upholding numerous parliamentary victories. The decisions mark a significant moment in the nation's electoral accountability process.  

The Common Man’s Party (CMP) has opposed the Electoral Commission’s (EC) directive requiring presidential aspirants to collect signatures for nomination. Party President Mubaraka Munyagwa criticized the directive, arguing that the party had already submitted the required signatures during its registration.
