Hajjati Nambi Faridah, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the Kawempe North by-election, has officially launched her campaign in the Komamboga area. The by-election follows the tragic death of the former Member of Parliament for the constituency, Muhammad Ssegirinya.

The Minister for East African Community (EAC) Affairs and First Deputy Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, has expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which has resulted in significant loss of life and displacement of people.

In an effort to expedite the resolution of cases in lower courts and reduce case backlogs, the judiciary has appointed additional judges to these courts to support the existing ones.

Among the new appointments, 12 judges have been assigned to head lower courts, while 39 others have been appointed to the High Court. These judges recently underwent a two-week training program at Colline Hotel in Mukono to prepare them for their new roles.

The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has directed that media leaders be taken to Kyankwanzi for a swift training session. Muhoozi stated that this training is aimed at educating media leaders about their responsibilities to the nation and teaching them about the dangers of spreading harmful information.
