PARLIAMENT, UGANDA – In an unprecedented move, Speaker Anita Among has directed Clerk Adolf Mwesigye to immediately provide newly swornin Kawempe North MP Elias Nalukoola Luyimbazi with all parliamentary benefits—including a vehicle, fuel allowances, and entitlements—despite his potentially brief tenure.  

 

In a bold and resolute address to his cabinet and clan leaders, His Royal Highness Mike Jude Mudoma, the Umukuuka  of Inzu Ya Masaba, has dismissed critics calling for his removal from office before the end of his five-year term. Speaking to a gathering of leaders from the 26 clans and ministers of the cultural institution, Mudoma described his detractors as "chasing air" and vowed to remain steadfast in his commitment to serving the Bamasaba people.

Muslim leaders from various districts across Uganda have called on the Muslim community to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the 2026 general elections, citing the peace and stability his government has brought to the country. The call was made during a meeting organized by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), held along Buganda Road in Kampala.

Leaders from Kagadi District have expressed their gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his equitable leadership, which has brought significant development to their region. The leaders, including Jennifer Kyomuhangi, the District Woman MP for Kagadi, and Eric Musana, the MP for Buyaga East, highlighted several key achievements during the President’s Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour in the Bunyoro Sub-region.
