NRM Leaders Rally Support in Buganda Ahead of Elections

NRM lawmakers from Buganda region have intensified mobilization efforts in Kasambya County, spearheaded by area MP David Kabanda, to consolidate support for President Museveni and party candidates in upcoming elections. The campaign follows the region's underperformance in the 2021 polls, with leaders seeking to address voter concerns and showcase government achievements.

Kabanda urged constituents to reject opposition-aligned MPs, emphasizing the need for unity behind NRM's development agenda. District Chairperson Muhereza Ntambi Michael highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects, including electricity and water access improvements, as evidence of the ruling party's commitment to the area.

Mubende Woman MP and Buganda Parliamentary Caucus Vice Chairperson emphasized the region's development progress, expressing confidence in NRM's electoral prospects. Deputy NRM Secretary General Rosemary Namayanja Nsereko described the mobilisation drives as demonstrating the party's enduring strength, despite criticism.

The campaign event drew crowds from Kasambya and Mubende, attended by multiple MPs and government ministers, signaling coordinated efforts to shore up support in central Uganda ahead of crucial elections.
