Members of Parliament (MPs) sitting on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) have dismissed officials from the Ministry of Education and Sports, led by Permanent Secretary Kedrace Turyagyenda, for failing to account for funds allocated to the Vocational Education Project. The officials were unable to provide satisfactory answers to queries raised by the Auditor General regarding the mismanagement of project funds.

Hajji Yusuf Kakande, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President, has underscored the critical need to ensure the National Resistance Movement (NRM) system remains robust and functional even after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's tenure. He made these remarks during the opening of a seven-day national retreat for Deputy Resident District Commissioners (DRDCs) and NRM District Chairpersons at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwazi.

Members of Parliament (MPs) on the Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) have criticized officials from the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs for diverting 85 billion shillings meant for other projects to compensate cattle keepers without parliamentary approval.  

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has embarked on a tour of the Bunyoro sub-region to assess the implementation of the Parish Development Model (PDM) and encourage residents to actively participate in poverty eradication initiatives. The President began his tour in Buliisa District, where he visited the home of Titus Tumusiime, a livestock farmer who received 997,000 shillings under the PDM program.
