President Yoweri Museveni joined Bunyoro Kingdom officials and cultural leaders at a subdued 31st coronation anniversary celebration for Omukama Solomon Iguru I at Karuziika Palace in Hoima. The event, themed "Preserving Our Heritage, Protecting the Environment", took on a solemn tone as the monarch continues to battle illness.  

The National Resistance Movement’s nomination exercise for party primaries kicked off last week  with a massive turnout of aspirants. Over 1,800 candidates have already submitted their forms, with expectations that the number could surpass 2,000 by the end of the this week.

Mbale City, Political tensions have reached a boiling point in Mbale City as a fresh and fiery contender, 25-year-old Anthony Wasukira , has thrown his hat into the ring, vying for the Member of Parliament seat for Mbale Industrial Division . The young, ambitious politician is set to lock horns with the incumbent MP, Hon. Karimu Masaba , in what is shaping up to be one of the most dramatic political battles in the region.  

Speaking exclusively from his parents' home in Mooni , Wasukira painted a picture of his grassroots origins, declaring that his motivation stems from the deplorable state of roads, hospitals, and schools in the division.
