NRM Members Hail Museveni: Presents Documents at Party Meeting to Seek 7th Term
Members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) League have applauded the National Leader and NRM Chairman, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (YKM), for positively responding to their requests. The President also addressed concerns raised about his office regarding the arrest of party flagbearers.

The members expressed profound gratitude, stating that "YKM has done immensely for the country, the party, and us individually." They emphasized the significance of their request for him to intervene in the detention of party flag bearers, especially with elections approaching next year. President Museveni acknowledged their appeal and personally presented documents during the NRM Electoral Commission meeting.
In a notable development at the meeting, President Museveni, as National Chairman, responded to leaders' concerns. Today, he arrived with documents pertaining to the NRM Chairman, which were presented as evidence that he has fulfilled a financial commitment of 20 Billion Ugandan Shillings.

The gathering was attended by Jane Muhindo, the RCC of Kampala, who led a delegation of Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) and Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) from various districts. They attended as observers as the NRM Chairman presented documents. Muhindo and colleagues affirmed their support for the party leadership.

Numerous high-ranking NRM leaders were present, including elected Chairpersons, various Ministers, and Parliament Speakers – notably the Rt. Hon. Speaker Anita Among (AAA), her Deputy Thomas Tayebwa, alongside other dignitaries.

Dr. Tanga Odoi, the head of the NRM Electoral Commission, welcomed the Party Chairman and commended the work being done by his commission.

Richard Twodong, the NRM Secretary General, informed the President that NRM well-wishers have contributed 20 Billion Shillings earmarked for constructing the party's new headquarters.
