NRM Vice Chairman Alhajj Moses Kigongo has declared a zero-tolerance stance against party members pursuing independent campaigns, vowing to enforce strict disciplinary measures. During a leadership training session for district and municipal NRM chairpersons, Kigongo emphasized unwavering adherence to party structures and procedures.

NRM lawmakers from Buganda region have intensified mobilization efforts in Kasambya County, spearheaded by area MP David Kabanda, to consolidate support for President Museveni and party candidates in upcoming elections. The campaign follows the region's underperformance in the 2021 polls, with leaders seeking to address voter concerns and showcase government achievements.

A heated confrontation unfolded between State Minister Persis Namuganza and Namutumba Woman MP Mariam Naigaga before NRM Electoral Commission chairperson Dr. Tanga Odoi.
