Kampala - Rukiga County Member of Parliament Roland Ndyomugyenyi has called for parliamentary intervention regarding the unresolved compensation of funds belonging to the late businessman Apollo Nyegamehe, popularly known as Aponye, who tragically died in a landslide two years ago.

Uganda has made history with a triple victory in continental standardization leadership, thanks to the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS). The wins came after recent elections by the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO) held during its 31st General Assembly in Zanzibar.

President Museveni thanked the National Federation of Farmers for uplifting agriculture in Uganda through their research, which has benefited farmers.

In a statement  released by the ministry of works and transport, the exercise has been halted pending a consultation process. The automated express penalty system was introduced last month  however it was vehemently opposed by drivers citing a lot of irregularities  the system.

At a consultative meeting where the drivers presented a petition to the ministry,  they expressed dissatisfaction with the system, asking the ministry to halt this exercise. This forced the meeting to end prematurely after the drivers presented certain proposals.
