Residents of the area known as Kikaramoja in Katwe Zone, Makindye Division, are living in a state of despair as they grapple with the threat of waterborne diseases. This area, known as Kikaramoja, is predominantly inhabited by individuals from the Karamoja region, including young mothers, teenage girls, and men struggling to make a living in Kampala city, yet their living conditions are deplorable.

A show of unusual political and economic alliance played out in Kasenge Parish, Mukono District, when Chinese and local investors physically escorted former State Minister Ronald Kibuule to one of his campaign rallies, signalling what they described as a critical vote for “industrial harmony” in the rapidly expanding Mbalala industrial belt.

In a significant move to promote green energy and technological innovation, the Ministry of Science and Technology has flagged off a team of over 60 Ugandans on an expedition to South Africa using a locally manufactured electric bus.
 
 The event was presided over by the Minister of Works and Transport, General Katumba Wamala, who has consistently urged Ugandans to adopt electric vehicles to mitigate global environmental degradation.
