The Ugandan government has initiated fresh efforts to breathe new life into the long-stalled Kasese Industrial Park, marking a potential turning point for economic development in the Rwenzori region.

President Yoweri Museveni has urged African leaders, particularly those from coffee-producing nations, to focus on improving coffee quality to strengthen their position in the global market. His message was delivered by Retired Major Jessica Alupo, Vice President of Uganda, during the High-Level Panel on Advancing Transformation of the Coffee Value Chain Summit held in Ethiopia.  

Production volume matches Ugandan demand, with 2,000 to 8,000 plates manufactured daily.

President Yoweri Museveni, while at the launch event, emphasised that every sub-county will receive digital number plates to help combat historical crimes.


MPs commend the fast-tracked distribution of PDM funds in Kampala, noting their positive impact on constituents.

Following the national leader’s directive to fast-track the distribution of PDM (Parish Development Model) funds in Kampala last Sunday, Members of Parliament have commended the initiative, stating that the funds have significantly helped lift their constituents out of poverty.
