A chilling debt collection turned deadly in Namuyenje village, Nakisunga Sub-county, as 34-year-old moneylender Anita Mutesi Nalule was stabbed to death by a client. The gruesome discovery was made when residents found her bloodied body in a bush near her Toyota Fielder (UBR 759V), with the murder weapon still lodged in her chest.  

MBALE CITY – A 35-year-old man, suspected to be part of a notorious motorcycle theft gang operating in the Busoga, Bugisu, and neighboring regions, was lynched by an angry mob in Nakaloke Ward, Mbale City, on Tuesday morning.  

The deceased, identified as Jamiru Mukose, a motorcycle mechanic and resident of Nabitenende Cell, was accused of stealing motorcycles before locals took the law into their own hands.

Uganda’s security forces have successfully intercepted and neutralized Aisha Katushabe, a known operative linked to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), in a decisive counterterrorism operation. The operation comes after intelligence revealed her involvement in planned attacks, further exposing her deep ties to the rebel group.  
 
Col. Chris Magezi, spokesperson for the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), confirmed the development, stating that Katushabe had long been on the security radar due to her active role in ADF activities. “This individual was a threat to national security. We had previously arrested her, but she continued to engage in terrorist plots,” Col. Magezi said.  
A bomb explosion occurred earlier today at around 8:00 AM near St. Andrew Kagwa Church at Munyonyo Shrine along Entebbe Expressway, leaving two people dead.
 
Eyewitnesses report that the explosion happened when a motorcycle carrying a woman attempted to access the church premises. According to Hakim Kaaya, a resident in the area, the woman tried to enter the church but was stopped at the gate by security personnel.
