The quiet village of Namawojjolo in Mukono District's Nama Sub-county has become the centre of growing outrage as women and residents raise alarm over persistent harassment along their daily routes. What began as whispered concerns has erupted into a full-blown community crisis, with particular focus on the dangerous journeys faced by female factory workers commuting to Mbalala's industrial area, schoolchildren walking to class, and late-night travellers navigating unlit pathways.  

Permanent Secretary Dr. Diana Atwiine issued a stern warning to government health workers engaged in absenteeism during a surprise inspection in Lwengo District. The visit exposed critical gaps in service delivery as the district grapples with malaria prevalence rates exceeding 33%—among the highest in the nation.  

Residents of Kigombya South in Mukono Central have discovered their colleague dead at his workplace. The deceased, known as Olwenyi Peter, was 40 years old and worked as a milk vendor. He was seen by one of his workers, Nabirye Magret, who opened the dairy and found him lying on the floor. She raised an alarm, which alerted the neighbours.

MBALE, UGANDA – The High Court in Mbale has today sentenced Eunice Lutiro, a 35-year-old woman from Butibwa Village, Namiswidwa District, to three years in prison  after she was found guilty of illegally dealing in counterfeit animal drugs. 
   
Lutiro was arrested three years ago by officials from the National Drug Authority (NDA for distributing unauthorized veterinary drugs  in Mbale City, Bugiri District, and other areas . During the operation, 14 boxes of assorted counterfeit veterinary drugs were recovered, including:  Dewormers, Antibiotics  Multivitamins.
