Victory and Compassion: Buddu Wins Masaza Cup, Rallies for Teammate's Medical Fund

The Buddu County won the Buganda Masaza Cup after defeating Buweekula County with a score of 1-0 last year.
The winning goal was scored in the early stages of the game by Mike Walaga, and this marked Buddu's third time winning the coveted trophy.


Nsubuga Martin, a Buddu player nicknamed Nabutono, faces health complications after contracting Tetanus. He was admitted to Rosewell Hospital in Kampala, requiring 2 million shillings daily for treatment.
Leader of Buddu's delegation, appealed to both teams (Buddu and Buweekula) to organize a fundraising match to support Nsubuga Martin's medical expenses.
Sebulime Rajab, the manager of Buweekula, and Zziwa Steven, the manager of Buddu, agreed to collaborate on organizing the fundraising match.

The chairman of the Masaza Cup organizing committee, Sejengo Sulaiman, expressed his satisfaction with the way the tournament was managed and called on everyone to come together to support Nsubuga Martin.
Buddu is set to play against Buweekula County this Friday, the 14th, at Kasana Stadium in Nyendo, and they will face off again at Kasenyi Stadium in Mubende this Sunday, the 16th.
