Kyadondo was reportedly filled with excitement as Kadaga's supporters thronged the nomination venue
Rebecca Kadaga, the former Speaker of Parliament and current Member of Parliament for Kamuli Woman, has announced her commitment to transforming Jinja Airport into an international facility. Kadaga made this pledge today after her nomination at Kyadondo, emphasizing that the upgrade would significantly improve transport in the Busoga sub-region.
Seconded by Buzaaya County MP Martin Muzaale, Kadaga outlined three key priorities during her nomination. Beyond the international airport for Jinja, she also highlighted the long-standing demand for a regional road, which the Busoga region has sought for the past three decades. Additionally, Kadaga urged the people of Kamuli to re-elect her, promising to oversee the construction of a new sugar plant by spearheading the compensation process.
Kyadondo was reportedly filled with excitement as Kadaga's supporters thronged the nomination venue, celebrating with traditional dances known as Kadodi and chanting slogans praising her contributions to the region.

Other notable nominations include Ongallo Obote, the Minister of Teso Affairs, who is running to represent Kalaki County and pledged to improve the image of Teso. Also nominated was Moses Grace Baryeku, former MP for Jinja West, who promised to improve the constituency.
