NRM voters in various parts of Mukono district did not turn up in the party primaries elections

NRM supporters in various parts of Mukono did not show much enthusiasm in the party primaries, as the number of people who turned up to vote was very low, according to the party's register. In some areas, there were even reports of voter bribery, and the process was marred by chaos.
In villages like Colline, the register had 300 voters, but only 80 participated in the election. Meanwhile, in Ssaza Village, the party register listed 700 voters, but only 25 cast their votes. Mark Kabunga, a party leader in the area, expressed disappointment, saying they were surprised by the low voter turnout.
In other villages like Kasangalabi and Nsuube, among others, the voting process was even worse. Here, Daisy Ssonko Nabatanzi, one of the contenders for the NRM ticket in Mukono Municipality, was accused of engaging in voter bribery as she competed for the position.
