NRM Electoral Commission Chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi mocked defeated NRM leaders, predicting greater humiliation in the general elections.

The Chairman of the NRM Electoral Commission, Dr. Tanga Odoi, has mocked senior NRM leaders who lost in the party primaries, warning that they will face even greater humiliation in the general elections because the voters who rejected them are still the same.

Several NRM leaders across the districts thanked President Museveni for guiding an orderly nomination process.

Lugazi, Buikwe District – The NRM parliamentary primaries in Lugazi Municipality descended into chaos as supporters of losing candidate Richard Senteza Ssalongo rejected the official results, alleging widespread irregularities in the voting process. The tense situation saw angry protesters clash with police, leaving the ruling party's internal divisions exposed just months before the general elections.

The demonstrators are demanding a vote recount, claiming the tallying process was compromised.

A section of National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporters in Kasese District have taken to the streets, protesting alleged irregularities in the recent party primaries for the Woman MP flag bearer.
