Sironko District, Uganda – A Primary 2 pupil of Bukyabi Primary School in Bukyabi Sub County, Sironko District, is recovering in hospital after being severely beaten by her teacher, leaving her with ear injuries. The incident has sparked outrage among parents and community members, who are calling for immediate action to address the growing issue of corporal punishment and teacher misconduct in schools.  

Butandiga Primary School, located in Sironko District, is facing a severe crisis as the teachers' quarters are in deplorable condition, negatively impacting both the educators and the pupils. The staff houses, constructed from mud, are falling apart and are barely habitable. Parents, teachers, and school administrators have raised concerns over how the poor state of these facilities is affecting the quality of education at the school.

Sironko District, Uganda – In a significant boost to education infrastructure, Budadiri West Constituency Member of Parliament and FDC Party Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, has donated 200 iron sheets to Nampanga Primary School, a historic institution that produced prominent leaders such as former Speaker of Parliament James Wapakhabulo and State Minister for Trade James Mutende.
