Museveni Awards King Ceasor University Charter, University Plans $2M Science Lab Upgrade

Okot confirmed that King Ceasor University had met all the required standards for accreditation.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has granted King Ceasor University its charter, officially recognising it as a fully accredited institution. During the handover ceremony, he urged the university to prioritise science-based programs.

Vietnam's Ambassador to Uganda, King Ceasor Mulenga—who is also the university's Proprietor and founding Chancellor of King Ceasor University- has praised the government for liberalising the education sector, allowing private players to complement government efforts in delivering this vital service.


Stephen Okot from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) delivered the presidential charter to King Ceasor University’s management in Bunga. The ceremony was also attended by University Vice Chancellor Dr. Charity Basaza Mulenga.

Okot confirmed that King Ceasor University had met all the required standards for accreditation.

Vice Chancellor Basaza Mulenga expressed gratitude to the government for its trust and pledged to uphold high academic standards while producing skilled graduates.

King Ceasor Mulenga, reflecting on the achievement, thanked the government for enabling ordinary citizens to contribute to education through private institutions. He also announced plans to invest $2 million in science laboratories to strengthen STEM programs.
