Over 1500 graduated at UCU Mukono Campus

The Chairperson of the University Council at Uganda Christian University, Dr. Alfred Olwa, has urged graduates at Uganda Christian University not to compromise integrity with personal gains as they walk out of the University gates to enter the job market.

Olwa made remarks while addressing the first part of the 26th graduation ceremony today at the University's main Campus in Mukono, urging graduates to be exceptionally different from the partners of the World where moral decay has become the order of the day.

He has also applauded the utmost resilience exhibited by the graduates throughout their academic journey and urged them to endeavour to pursue further studies for the betterment of their communities.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Dr. John Kitayimbwa, while representing the University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi, has re-echoed the importance of faith as a guiding light aimed at problem-solving rather than mere spectators.

‎The guest of honour, Dr. Phillip Reyken, the President of Wheaton College in the United States, has urged graduates to desist from corruption and stand as faithful servants of God in the already compromised World.

‎A total of 1524 have graduated in various disciplines, with only 49 graduating with first-class degrees.
