Thirteen youths accused of violent incidents during Ibrahim Kitatta’s campaign were granted bail. They pleaded not guilty and were released on strict bail conditions.

Masaka Chief Magistrate Simon Toloko has granted bail to 13 youths facing 11 charges related to alleged violent incidents during Ibrahim Kitatta's campaign activities in Bukoto West Constituency. The accused, who all pleaded not guilty, were released on strict bail conditions set at 50 million Ugandan shillings for each surety and 5 million shillings cash bail per accused person.  

Three suspects were arrested in Kasese District for two homicide cases.

Kasese District Police have detained three suspects in connection with two separate homicide cases that occurred within Kasese Municipality. The arrests come as authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of 33-year-old Simon Kutegeka and an unidentified victim of mob justice.
