Members of Parliament (MPs) on the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee have summoned Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abbas Byakagaba, his deputy, State Minister for Internal Affairs General David Muhoozi, and other police technical officials to explain the conduct of the Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force (JATT) during the Kawempe North by-election. The MPs are demanding accountability for alleged human rights violations against voters and residents since the nomination period.
