Muslim leaders from various districts across Uganda have called on the Muslim community to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the 2026 general elections, citing the peace and stability his government has brought to the country. The call was made during a meeting organized by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), held along Buganda Road in Kampala.
Leaders from Kagadi District have expressed their gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his equitable leadership, which has brought significant development to their region. The leaders, including Jennifer Kyomuhangi, the District Woman MP for Kagadi, and Eric Musana, the MP for Buyaga East, highlighted several key achievements during the President’s Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour in the Bunyoro Sub-region.
The Kyazanga Town Council witnessed a dramatic scene as members of the Kyazanga Tax Drivers and Conductors Association gathered to elect new leaders. The event, however, was marred by disagreements, accusations, and even physical altercations, highlighting deep divisions within the association.
Leaders from Kakiri Sub County in Wakiso District have intervened to stop the construction of a house being built too close to the road in Magogo Village. The leaders, led by Sub County Chairperson John Bosco Tebandeke, expressed concern over the illegal construction and vowed not to tolerate such actions.
 President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has directed administrators of  Zonal Skilling Industrial Hubs to increase the number of programs offered to students, citing the growing demand for vocational training. The President made these remarks while commissioning the  Bunyoro Zonal Skilling Industrial Hub  , emphasizing the government’s commitment to empowering youth and transforming them into a productive workforce.
