President Museveni Accuse the West for Piling Pressure on African Countries

President Museveni has accused the West of always putting pressure on African countries with threats to withhold aid and funding for several projects.

He says begging is not the solution for African economic problems, but instilling a culture of hard work and building strong family sovereignty and values.

He was at the state house in Entebbe as he opened the 3rd African regional parliamentary conference that has drawn MPS and speakers from over 22 African countries.

Peace remains the core value for prosperity, but says unless African countries are united and resist Western pressure, many will lag behind under the guise of neocolonialism.

He says family, along with country and continent, cannot work alone to develop these countries as they work on a single African market to squarely deal with the current Us tariffs on certain countries

The president has directed legal brains to study the Samoa declaration on sexuality and sexual reproductive health, whose inputs he says don't align with our values among children

The first lady, also African Values patron in Uganda, Janet Kataha Museveni, says Africa is at a crossroads with the Western cultures because of the poverty and disability to independently handle several issues

The speaker of parliament, Annet Anita Among, applauds the MPS for standing tall against the homosexuality bill debate that became law despite the pressure and repercussions it has since caused.

The conference will out with declarations and a charter that will be presented to higher-level meetings in the African Union and among African leaders for action.
