Youth Summit in Kashari North to Tackle Unemployment

Kashari North constituency is set to host a major youth summit this Saturday, 10th May 2025 at the Rubindi Town Council Playground. The event will feature key addresses by Hon. Balaam Barugahara, the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, and Hon. Bazil Bataringaya the area Member of Parliament.

The summit aims to tackle the pressing issue of youth unemployment while encouraging young people to actively participate in government initiatives such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and other empowerment programs.

Key Focus Areas are, strategies to combat youth unemployment, Mobilizing youth engagement in government programs, skills development and entrepreneurship opportunities

Hon. Bataringaya emphasized the importance of the summit, stating, This is a crucial platform for our youth to learn, engage, and take advantage of the available opportunities to improve their livelihoods.

Minister Barugahara is expected to outline government interventions aimed at creating jobs and supporting young entrepreneurs. We want every youth to understand how they can benefit from programs like PDM, Emyooga, and other initiatives designed to uplift them.

Adding excitement to the event, top artists will perform, making it both an educative and entertaining experience for attendees.

The summit is open to all youth in Kashari North and neighboring areas. Local leaders have urged young people to attend in large numbers to gain insights that could transform their economic prospects.
