Patriotic League of Uganda Urges Makerere Students to Love Their Country

Leaders from the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) have called upon Makerere University students to embrace patriotism and actively contribute to the nation’s development.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Juma Uwitonze urged students to apply their knowledge using modern technology for Uganda’s progress. Meanwhile, Coach Gad, the PLU Diaspora Coordinator based in the United States, advised the youth to uphold Uganda’s reputation, unlike some politicians abroad who tarnish the country’s image.

The leaders also encouraged students to attend the upcoming Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Military Drills at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on 13th May where the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba will be the chief guest.

The event emphasized national pride, youth engagement, and the importance of supporting Uganda’s security forces.
