A tragic accident in Queen Elizabeth National Park claimed the lives of two people and left three others injured after a Bwera General Hospital ambulance overturned at Nyamuhuru corner along the Rubirizi - Kasese Road.

Village leaders in Bbowa, Makulubita Sub-county, Luwero District, have expressed concern over Grace Nabirongo, a 31-year-old pregnant woman who is currently living alone in a dilapidated house. Nabirongo, who is deaf and mute, has been left to fend for herself, raising fears among local leaders that someone might harm her.  

Leaders in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District, led by the Municipality Member of Parliament, Stephen Sserubula Kinaalwa, have expressed concern over the poor sanitation conditions in the area. They are mobilizing residents to join efforts to clean up their neighborhoods to prevent diseases caused by poor hygiene.  

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Diana Atwine, has warned medical staff at government hospitals against absenteeism, stating that if they do not stop, they will be disciplined according to the regulations.
