Traders from 16 upcountry markets across Kampala gathered in significant numbers for a crucial meeting held at the New Taxi Park. The primary goal of the gathering was to present their pressing challenges to national leaders, particularly focusing on the issues plaguing upcountry markets.  

The people living in the slums located in Mukono District, commonly referred to as "Gheto," have called for a meeting known as an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to scrutinize how their SACCO (Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization) is being managed. This will help them address the challenges they face and find ways to move forward.
