KAMULI, UGANDA– The Busoga North Region Police have launched a major investigation into the alleged aggravated defilement and trafficking of a three-year-old girl in Kamuli District, an incident that has sent shockwaves through the local community.

According to a police press release dated October 14th, the horrific discovery was made on the afternoon of October 13th, 2025, in Bulunga Village, Butansi Sub-county.

Residents of Ngandu Village in Mukono Central Division, Mukono Municipality, are living in fear following a brutal machete attack on the Director of JesyJonny Day and Boarding Primary School, Mr. Geoffrey Mayanja Ssezibwa, aged 54.

The assailants, reportedly armed with pangas and riding a numberless motorcycle while wearing facemasks, ambushed him in the early morning hours on his way to school.

Ngongolo, Kajansi Town Council, Wakiso District – Residents of Ngongolo village are living in fear following a series of violent attacks by a group of individuals allegedly hired to evict them from their land. The assailants, armed with machetes, have been setting houses on fire in what appears to be a campaign of intimidation to force residents off their properties.

Residents accused  Abenaitwe’s workers of intimidation, trespassing, and sexual harassment of women. They further claimed that the workers had blocked access to community water sources, forcing villagers to travel long distances to fetch water elsewhere.

 

Tension is running high in Saayi Village, Saayi Parish, Kisoga–Ntenjeru Town Council, Mukono District, as furious residents accuse the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Zombo District, Mr Abenaitwe Robert, of illegally cultivating cannabis on government forest land and terrorising the local community.
