Mukono Police are searching for Isa Olenge, also known as Ali Gandi, a resident of Nabusugwe in Goma Division, Mukono Municipality, who escaped from CPR Medical Center after being hospitalized with gunshot wounds. The suspect is accused of multiple crimes, including assault, property damage, and impersonation.

A bitter family dispute over the paternity of a child has escalated in Kikooza Village, Mukono Municipality, involving Nalweyiso Bridget (22) and her mother, Babirye Babra (45). The conflict arose after Babirye allegedly claimed that she, not her daughter Bridget, gave birth to Bridget’s 2½-year-old child, Lule Latif. Babirye further complicated matters by giving the child to a man named Kamoga Ashraf, whom she claimed was the father.

Two people were brutally murdered, and three houses were set ablaze in Bulambuli District on Monday night following a violent altercation over a romantic relationship. The victims, identified as Yefusa Massette, 37, and Godfrey Kabuto, 48, both residents of Busiango village, Buwabwala parish, Bwikhonge sub-county, lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The approved appointees include Justice Singiza Karekona as Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), Lady Justice Rosette Comfort Kania as a member of the JSC, and Frank Musingwiire as a member of the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Mbale, Uganda – In a significant step toward improving access to justice, Deputy Chief Justice Flavian Zeija officially launched the Court of Appeal in Mbale on Monday. The new court, which will operate within the Mbale High Court building, is set to serve the Eastern region, reducing the need for residents to travel long distances to Kampala for appeal services.
