Members of the NRM Greater Mukono Pressure Group have expressed fear that the recent acts of violence and intimidation witnessed during the Kawempe by-elections could lead to chaos and instability in the upcoming national elections.
Voting is currently underway in the Kawempe North parliamentary by-election and the Kazo Angola local council chairperson by-election, following a tense campaign period marked by allegations of voter intimidation and violence. Voters in these constituencies have turned out in large numbers to cast their ballots, determined to elect their preferred candidates.
