Kasese, Uganda – The King of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Irimangoma, has appointed a new leadership at the helm of the Kingdom’s administration. Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale has been named the new Prime Minister, replacing Rt. Hon. Kule Muranga. Baritazale will be deputized by Rt. Hon. Muhesi Patrick and Rt. Hon. The appointments come with a directive from His Majesty urging the new leaders to uphold and defend the constitution of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu. While addressing the newly sworn-in cabinet, Omusinga Mumbere emphasized the importance of mutual respect among ministers as a key ingredient for effective service delivery.

His Majesty also extended gratitude to the President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for the continued financial support towards the Kingdom. Additionally, he appealed to the government to fulfill its pledges regarding his medical treatment and that of his wife, Her Highness Agnes Ithungu.

In their remarks following the swearing-in ceremony, the newly appointed ministers expressed appreciation to the Omusinga for entrusting them with leadership roles. They pledged to serve diligently and work towards advancing development within the Kingdom.

Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale underscored the need to focus on the Kingdom’s five strategic pillars, particularly in promoting peace and unity as part of the Kingdom’s rebranding efforts.

Meanwhile, Rt. Hon. Best Ferigo, the new Second Deputy Prime Minister, committed to collaborating with humanitarian organizations to combat early marriages—an issue she highlighted as a growing concern for the youth in the Rwenzori sub-region.
