As the NRM party structure elections draw near, NRM district chairpersons led by the Eastern region vice chairperson, Captain Mike Mukula, have this morning endorsed the speaker of parliament, Anita Annet Among, for the first woman vice chairperson currently held by speaker emeritus, also first deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

Among has met the team in her boardroom and stressed the role of unity in making the NRM stronger.

She says she has much trust in the team and other party members to sail her to her through.

Captain Mike Mukula praised the speaker for the outstanding legislative roles since she joined the party and assured her of unreserved support to win the seat.

Currently, the position has two contenders who are soliciting support ahead of the July national conference, where party structures elections will be held.
