Presidential Initiative Distributes Startup Tools to Empower Women and Youth in Lubaga
Heads of the Presidential Initiative on Youth Wealth Creation Program have distributed startup items to women and youth to help them begin income-generating activities.
These individuals have each been given tools according to their skills and capabilities.
Over 100 skilled women and youth from Lubaga Division received startup equipment under the start up initiative.
The head of finance at State House, Jane Barekye, handed over the items, assisted by Faizo Ndase, who encouraged the beneficiaries.
The distribution ceremony took place in Lubaga, with Faizo Ndase, leading the Youth Wealth Creation Program, overseeing the event.
The beneficiaries received tools based on their expertise, and they thanked President Museveni for lifting them out of poverty
Youth involved in chapati (flatbread) making, as well as tailors, were not left out. They received cartons of wheat flour, Butto cooking oil, and fabric. They expressed gratitude to Jane Barekye and Faizo Ndase for facilitating the distribution of the items provided by President Museveni.
Faizo Ndase urged the beneficiaries to support government programs aimed at poverty alleviation and avoid politicizing them.
The recipients also requested the government to increase funding for such initiatives to benefit more people.
Jane Barekye, the head of finance at the President’s residence, emphasized that this support was just the beginning, thanks to the efforts of Faizo Ndase.
