Common Man's Party Unveils Presidential Campaign Poster, Criticizes Electoral Commission Delays

The Common Man’s Party unveiled its campaign poster for the presidential elections at a press conference.

Kampala, Uganda – The Common Man’s Party has officially unveiled its campaign poster in preparation for the forthcoming presidential elections. The unveiling took place during a press conference held at the party’s offices on Jacaranda Road, off Rugaba Road.

Speaking at the event, the party’s presidential candidate, Mubarak Munyagwa, confirmed his candidacy for the national presidency. However, he expressed frustration with the Electoral Commission, accusing it of unnecessarily delaying the election process due to technicalities.

Munyagwa clarified that his decision to run for president was personal and not influenced by pressure from party members. He emphasised his commitment to representing the common citizen and addressing grassroots issues.

At the same meeting, the party’s Secretary General, Moses Bigirwa, extended an invitation to politicians who feel marginalised or frustrated by their original parties to join the Common Man’s Party. He assured them of a platform to revitalise their political careers and contribute to a people-centred agenda.

The Common Man’s Party is currently ranked ninth on the Electoral Commission’s list of recognised political parties. Despite this, the party remains optimistic about its impact in the upcoming elections and its ability to rally support from disenchanted voters and politicians alike.
