KASSANDA – Elected NRM leaders in Kassanda District have pledged to transform their constituencies and elevate the party's standing through intensified grassroots engagement. This commitment follows concerns about declining party support in several sub-counties across the district.

MUKONO – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries for the 2026 elections took a contentious turn in Mukono Central Division, with disputes erupting over the credibility of the voting process at a community centre serving as the main polling station.  

Chaos and Violence Mar Kyazanga Town Council Elections in Lwengo District  

LWENGO – The mayoral election in Kyazanga Town Council descended into chaos as tear gas, stones, and thick smoke engulfed polling stations amid allegations of voter register manipulation and electoral violence. The contentious race between incumbent Mayor Maada Nanyanzi and challenger Ssalongo Matovu Imran turned violent, forcing the suspension of vote counting in several zones.
