JINJA, UGANDA – The leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, has officially launched his campaign to secure victory in the 2026-2031 Ugandan presidential election. Kyagulanyi commenced his campaign trail in the Busoga region, starting in Jinja, where he also unveiled his party's manifesto, outlining his plans for the country should he be elected president.

Following the national electoral commission's roadmap for internal party elections, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has launched a mobilisation drive in Buikwe District. The party's National Chairman, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, officially launched the activities in Nkokonjeru.

This follows the official nomination of Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday as the NRM's presidential candidate. During the event, he will unveil his manifesto, outlining what Ugandans should expect if they re-elect him in 2026.
