The Office of the Presidential Representative in Wakiso District has spearheaded a major empowerment program, distributing over 1,500 chickens and 50 goats to residents as part of government efforts to boost household incomes. Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Justin Mbabazi personally oversaw the distribution at the District Headquarters, emphasising President Museveni's vision for wealth creation at the grassroots level.  

Kampala, Uganda . The Minister for Energy and Mineral Development, Ruth Nankabirwa, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) to enhance power reliability and reduce electricity tariffs.

Tensions flared in Buvuma District during a verification exercise for the Parish Development Model (PDM) funds, leading to the dramatic arrest of government worker Erina Mukasa Naggita. The coordinator for Buwangwe Parish was apprehended after furious residents accused her of extorting Shs100,000 from each beneficiary and falsifying repayment records.
