The Rwenzururu Kingdom has issued a strong warning to political actors against using the name of His Majesty Omusinga Charles Mumbere Iremangoma in their campaigns. The caution comes after allegations that former Leader of the Opposition Winnie Kiiza Nyabahasa invoked the Omusinga’s name while campaigning for the National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate in the Kawempe North by-election.

Hoima District Local Government has officially sworn in a new District Service Commission (DSC) to tackle critical staffing shortages that have hindered service delivery in the region. The MPs are demanding accountability for alleged human rights violations against voters and residents since the nomination period.
